We have improved our soft-chew matrix across our entire product line!
Through extensive taste testing and obtaining both vet and animal feedback, we observed a positive change in two formulas – Liver Support Formula and Canine Basic Nutrients – when we introduced a chew matrix designed to improve palatability and pet acceptance. Seeing such great results, we are implementing this enhancement across the entire soft-chew line.
So, what’s new? The updated chew matrix features a vegetarian bacon aroma and flavor enhancer. ThorneVet’s ColostrumVet with Zinpro® is obtained from the first milking of seasonally grass-fed cows and tested to be free of hormones, rBST, antibiotics, pesticides, and herbicides. ColostrumVet is produced using a specialized process that preserves the colostrum’s immune-supportive components, while also making it free from pathogens and contaminants. The finished product is tested to ensure high levels of immunoglobulins (at least 50 percent Immunoglobulin G), guaranteeing that ColostrumVet is abundant in immune-supportive compounds, including immunoglobulins, growth factors, lactoferrins, and proline-rich peptides.

Vaccinations
Although some cows do receive vaccinations, it’s always at least two months before calving season begins. These are not mRNA vaccines, and they’re expected to improve colostrum quality. Over 95% of U.S. dairy farms follow this pre-calving best practice. -
Hormones
Synthetic hormones aren’t used near calving season, so there are no synthetic hormone residues in ColostrumVET. While colostrum naturally contains hormones produced by cows, ColostrumVET is free of synthetic hormones, as our sourcing farms avoid them during colostrum production. -
Antibiotics
Antibiotics are only used well before calving season, and our supplier, Zinpro, tests all colostrum for residues. Any colostrum testing positive is discarded, ensuring ColostrumVET is antibiotic-free. -
mRNA Vaccines
No mRNA vaccines are used in the dairy cattle providing colostrum for ColostrumVET.
