Two New ThorneVet Products!
In 2023, ThorneVet released multiple new products and product reformulations that covered a wide variety of animal health areas. From immune health support with Mushroom Medley, to cognitive support for older dogs with Canine Cognitive Support and overall wellbeing with CollagenVET, as well as our improved Probiotic Support Formula. It will always be ThorneVet’s commitment to our veterinarian-customers and to our pet parents to have a product line that can be used for any health concern that might arise in a companion animal. ThorneVet will remain vigilant in studying the science and new breakthroughs to bring new animal health products to our loyal customers.
To continue this effort from 2023, ThorneVet is now proud to introduce two new animal health supplements to the ThorneVet product line – Longevity Complex and Peaceful Pet. Longevity Complex
This one-of-a-kind, cutting-edge product is replacing our Small Animal Antioxidant by providing more robust antioxidant support and building on the Small Animal Antioxidant foundation by including several nutrients that support longevity and promote healthy aging. We have boosted the levels of the potent polyphenol compounds curcumin, quercetin, and trans-resveratrol by 2-3 times what was in Small Animal Antioxidant. We have also incorporated Indena’s Green Tea Phytosome for additional bioavailable green tea catechin support, as well as Asta-Real’s astaxanthin, a potent ketocarotenoid.
Of special note, Longevity Complex includes the NAD+ precursor nicotinamide riboside malate, which has been shown to boost an animal’s level of NAD+. Increasing an animal’s level of NAD+ promotes longevity by activating the family of sirtuin proteins, which have multiple positive downstream effects, such as down-regulating inflammation and suppressing tumor formation. We think Longevity Complex will become a foundation in disease prevention, as well as excelling in supporting pets who have severe immune imbalances, including providing significant nutritional support in cases of canine and feline cancer.

This new formula is one that veterinarians and pet parents alike have been specifically asking for over the past few years: a formula that can soothe anxious pets and enable them to relax. The stress of modern society can have significant negative impacts on our companion animals. Many of our dogs and cats suffer from behavioral issues that can severely impact not only the quality of their lives, but also the lives of the humans they live with. That’s why ThorneVet has dedicated much effort and research into designing a comprehensive supplement to enable our dogs’ and cats’ nervous systems to unwind and relax. Peaceful Pet incorporates several neuro-friendly botanical extracts – skullcap, valerian, passionflower, and lemon balm to balance the brain’s neurotransmitters and to create a harmonious and balanced nervous system. We have also incorporated a proprietary blend of magnolia bark and phellodendron bark – Relora®. Relora has been shown to reduce stress, moderate anxiousness, and improve mood. Peaceful Pet also contains L-theanine, an amino acid found in tea that is well known for promoting relaxation.
Peaceful Pet’s synergistic combination of ingredients is rounded out by the presence of two forms of nervous system-supportive vitamin B6. Peaceful Pet is safe for daily use in animals who can benefit from it, and it can be especially helpful in situational stressful events, like car rides, thunderstorms, fireworks, and separation anxiety.
